In early July of 2007, Rocco suffered a freak accident in a sandlot softball game.  While running out a grounder to short, the throw to first was errant and beaned the good Rocco square on his left temple, crushing his skull and causing a severe brain injury.  Rocco now wanders the planet with several titanium plates holding his brain in place. 

After the injury doctors were skeptical, at best, that Rocco would ever regain his ability to perform on the radio again, or even participate in any lengthy conversation.  Defying the odds, Mr. Demaro dedicated himself to his recovery, and in three short months regained enough stamina to return to the air for the final week of Extra Innings shows in the 2007 season.  To this day his recovery has baffled even the most expert of neuro-surgeons and cranial specialists. 

Here we see Rocco just before his hair grew lengthy enough to conceal his massive scar.  Apropriately, the scar tracks his head in the same pattern as stitches in a baseball and the opportunistic Rocco offered lessons on proper grip for different pitches.

Be advised:  This is a competitive league!!  If you want to compete, you've got to maintain your team on a semi-daily basis.  Quitters / slackers will not be tolerated...and beginners might be a little...um...dominated.
 
That said, if you're ready for a great season of fantasy baseball, you'll have a blast in this league.  Involvement on the message board is highly encouraged as are trade offers.  It's a fantastic league and I work hard to keep it as fun as possible.
